Talking About and Resolving Conflict

In relationships, whether platonic, romantic, familiar, conflict is unavoidable. It can make or break your relationships. So knowing how to talk about what happened can be quite helpful. Racism and Mental Health

By now, most of us are aware of the death of George Floyd, and many other victims of police brutality. There has been a lot of media coverage on the protests, and many important discussions have been ongoing on social media regarding white privilege and the Black Lives Matter movement. Although this is a challenging

Mental Health and The News

Mental Health and The News Over the past few months, the news has been extremely overwhelming. At the beginning of this year, it seemed like the Australian wildfires were going to win for the biggest and saddest news story; however, we were quickly met with COVID-19 and the death of George Floyd. Right now, looking

Physical Health and Mental Health

There is a huge correlation between mental health and physical well being. It can be hard to stay motivated when in self isolation. Getting out of bed can be one of the most difficult parts of the day. With a lack of routine this can be even harder. Creating a routine chart has been really

Coping With Mental Health During Isolation

This self-isolation period has had mixed results for everyone involved. Ones that dread social interaction were relieved, and others that thrive on it “were crushed.”  I’m in the center, naturally introverted but rely on the few social outings I have per year to keep myself going.  School was my escape from home, a place where

I Did Not Expect to Meet Depression

I thought I had an understanding of depression from my friends who shared their stories with me. I thought my past hardships would equip me with the skills to handle it and move past it.  But when it hit, it rolled in quick.  I had no idea and I was not equipped.  When I look
