Remembrance day is a very valuable day that people don’t think about. We’re alway in our heads thinking about our troubles, our struggles are problems, but what we don’t think about is the brave souls who walked out on a field and continue to walk out on that field so we are able to have freedom to think what we think and feel what we feel.
To have the freedom to have struggles and to be able to be free. I know that society doesn’t feel like freedom, but in some places freedom is everything and we take it for granted because the majority of civilization doesn’t know what it’s like to live behind bars, or fear to speak out about their government in hopes to better change it. We speak out everyday our opinions make differences. We have that power to make changes, a power a lot of people have but will never see because they don’t have people who fought for the same freedom that we have. This is why I like Remembrance Day, to be able to step in someone else’s shoes and think about how they felt just getting out of your head and getting into someone else’s even if it’s only for a second it makes you really value the things and people you have in your life.
So if you’re having a hard day or even just wanna get away from life go on a journey. Watch a war movie or look up someone who fought for you. It could be a soldier or an army nurse, just take a minute to read a book or listen to one and just remember it can always be worse, but because these people fought for you and for me we can have a little better, of a day then someone else is right now.
To end on a positive note maybe, just maybe that person you read or look into may empower you to make a change in your life or someone else’s. Either way lest we forget the lives that are always taken for our freedom.
