Who We Are
The Speak Your Mind Program (SYM) is an online campaign that starts conversations about mental health. We encourage drive, creativity, and honesty by bringing unique faces and voices to advocate for mental health awareness. Our posts feature local activists and people’s lived experiences with mental health struggles. We couple heartwarming stories with original photos and art, which we share on our blog and through our social media pages. All of our posts are written by young volunteers. We make sure that our work is safe, positive, and uplifting for everyone involved.
At times, our young volunteers choose to write their own creative pieces. We’ve published personal blogs, poems, and articles. We embrace ideas and pieces that reflect youths’ sincere feelings about the topic of mental health. Our goal is to put a face to mental health and to challenge the stigma around it. Our writers are always finding new ways to help us succeed. For us, the sky is the limit.
